    euro 323 budget stroker

Got a tired euro 323 w/L-Jet. Looking to improve performance and I need some guidance. First, can I use the 731 head with a stock eta or Seta bottom end? If either of those work, could I use the 731 head and change to motronic and bag the L-Jet? I am trying for a really budget improvement, while I build am M30 for transplant later.

you can use the 731 head with the 325e bottom end, not with the super eta though, as it uses the same combustion chamber as the 325i.. you should be able to convert it to motronic 1.3 easily.

How about 325i block and pistons(material machined from top) with that 323i crank?

Pretty much same combination as Hartge H26 had.

A ~2,6l stroker with very smooth torque curve.
      Current:

      BMW 320i 2d 2.0 m20 -88
      BMW 325i Cabriolet 2.5 m50 -88
      BMW 316i touring 1.6 m40 -90
      BMW 320i 4d 2,2 m54 -01

i like the 2.6l idea..... but what i got out of this is that the 731 has the same combustion design as the eta ...so take a 3.0l crank put in eta block....thats what i would do and bag the m30 swap
