Ok so here's the deal... while getting the 5spd parts for BDSax, we saw that the car that he was getting all the parts from was an '88 iS that was pretty modified..... ATE Powerdiscs, Lowering springs, etc etc.
When we pull the motor, someone walking by mentioned that it was probably a stroker motor. It had all of the "I" external parts (manifolds, valve cover... painted btw).
I look at the head and I see: 2.7 ETA. And I was like "wtf?"
I was under the impression the 2.7 head was garbage.
So I'm here wondering what the hell is done to that motor. How can I make sure? I'm thinking of picking that motor up because it was so clean inside.
