    cold idle problem...

    Hey guys,

I've been having this nagging problem for a while, and I'd like some second opinions before I go messing about under the hood.

My car idles REAL low (around 300rpm) when I start it in the morning, and slowly rises as it warms up, and reaches a more typical 800rpm when it's ready to run. Is that NORMAL? I'm thinking my coolant temp sensor isn't working like it should. Am I right?

The car is a euro 1990 2.7 stroker if that helps any.

no, it should idle at around 1000rpm when it is cold, and slow down to ~600-800 when it warms up. definitely test your coolant temp sensor, it's pretty easy to check on with a multimeter.
