I feel like a retard for asking, i have an e and an i, what frankenstein can i make?

Like the title says, i picked up an e for a parts car, not really sure what condition the motor is in, but mine's starting to puff some oil. Figure around Spring it's time to rebuild, what options do i have with these two engines in to getting some more power with my rebuild?

Appologies for so many threads on this e car i bought, brainstorming what to do with it.

Great, soooo, what parts swap over? :P Is it as simple as bolting on the head to the e block, or do i need to swap the e internals to the i block?

From my reading something about only the s-eta and i motors having interchangeable parts, other say an eta block and i block has interchangable parts.

you can't get 3.0l with an e bottom end. the most you can get is 2823cc with an 86mm bore.

i think his thread is mostly about what is the simplest stroker that he can make...like swapping the eta crank, rods and pistons into the I car/management and have a cheap rebuilt stroker engine... ^^ i'm really not informed and looking for info myself so someone who knows please correct or clarify.

            Basically.

Are the actual blocks any different, or is it just the internals?

Slap the m20b25 head on the b27 block and you have a low compression (around 7.9-8.0:1 ish) 2.7l stroker. Perfect for a turbo setup. You can mill the head a little to get compression back but then you need an adjustable cam gear to gain back the timing you lost by doing that.

A little too low for my forced induction plans. I know about the adjustable cam gear, i had a milled head on a Honda milled so much i just corrected it by putting the timing off one tooth from stock. XD

sounds like a perfect compression for an f/i motor to me. slap on a turbo+ IC and boost like 12psi. would make for a more reliable turbo car(less blow HG).
