    Considering ditching my 2.7i...

I bought a bunch of parts for a 2.7 motor (complete 123k mile 2.5, racing dynamics 10.2:1 pistons, new rings, 19lb injectors, some other things...).

It looks like til I buy a cam/springs, have the head rebuilt and the block cleaned, new bearings and selas/gaskets, and everything else, I could be out another 2-3k.

I think I want to ditch this stuff and do an m52 OBD-I or s50 swap. S52 seems to be a little pricey. For the same amount of money it seems like I can get alot more power, more reliably. I would end up getting one with less then 100k miles and just do external seals and leave the internals as is. My chassis has 220k miles on it so I don't see the need for a mint engine, either.

Any thoughts? I don't know what to do, but I do know I don't want to dump 3k into this car and be dissapointed.

I do have a 93 m50 block w/ internals sitting around, is that useful at all for anything?

What could I get for my stroker parts? I'm not sure what that stuff is valued at anymore...

    How much for the pistons?

I custom cut a set of 2.5i pistons for my 2.7 motor, but had some issues. It runs fine, but maybe will replace the pistons if you still have them and will sell for a good price.

I'm not sure, but that's the only thing anyone has had any interest in. If that's all I can sell for a decent price I probably won't sell them, because it won't get me an m/s50 swap. I'll add you to the list of interested people though.

      Thanks,

      Justin
