ouch
I wouldn;t slap THAT eta bottom end on just yet.
if I am not mistaken, I believe you need you swap the pistons (since it;s not a super eta)
anyone have more knowlegde about simply slapping a non-super eta bottom end with an I head?</img>

There are at least 2-3 guys on e30tech running that same setup. Stock eta bottom end and i head pushing 18+ psi. BMWSOB ran an 11.6 with a TCD log manifold.:: PNW Crew ::

You REALLY need forged pistons for HIGH boost and reliability.:: PNW Crew ::

Yea, it just lowers your compression alot and aparently completely ruins the squinsh area of the combustion chamber. The Super eta pistons are alot better since they are designed for the i head.:: PNW Crew ::

Somewhere on here I found a thread where the guy used his e head on his e bottom end but ported the head to i specs. He used the i intake and other components but the motor internally was a e. From what he was saying the compression didn't drop because all the e stuff was used. Does this sound like a good idea ?

Its a really expensive adventure, considering you can get a full i motor for like 500 bucks...:: PNW Crew ::
