    91 m20b25 engine into 86 325es..questions...

We have a 91 m20b25 to put in an 86 325es. The m20b25 harness is cut at the c101 connector, so it needs a new harness, or spliced. Since it doesn't have a provision for the C104 I'm thinking it's easier to swap in a 87 harness.

So I starting making a conversion chart. As you can see I've found nothing for the 86 325es (with the c101). I read they are identical. Is this true? Does my 87 325i wiring look correct?

On the other hand, if the 87 harness is not a direct wire-up, and it would require splicing anyway, we might as well just throw the extra wires on when we do the splicing, per the following:

    Pin # 3 from c104 to Pin 8 on the c101 of your 89(Yellow/White or White/Black wire)
Pin #2 from the c104 to the + terminal on the coil(Green wire)
Pin #1 from the c104 to pin 9 on the c101(black wire)

Is that correct? I know some connectors would be different such as coolant level, oil level, maybe some others as well. That's easy to correct later. The goal is to get it running.

I know the cooling system can be switched over to the early style, and as far as I know we can use the m20b27 single mass flywheel, clutch kit, etc... (it's all fairly new), is this correct?

    Anything I'm forgetting to address?
