eta getting oil in the throttle body

my t belt snaped this winter and in fixed it by putting valves in ( got dual springs too) i put everything together and it ran great, pulled harder than before the t belt broke. After about 70kms later, it smokes on morning starts, and after turnung it off and starting it back up after a half hour highway drive.

i foung oil in the throttle body and throttle boot, and thought the crankcase breather was bringing in oil so i disconected the breather hose at the t body and plugged up the t body. went for a test drive and found the pipe coming from the intake mani to the block started leaking. what does that pipe actually do? should there be oil there?

That pipe is also a breather. It allows the oil that gets into the manifold to drain back to the block. If you disconnected the main breather and ran teh car like that you probably just made more of a mess.

Did you change valve guides and seals when you put new valves in?

make sure the seals on that intake manifold pipe are new and in there good. if there is a vacuum leak there, for some reason it will suck oil into your TB and it'll run all the way down your boot into your oil filter. don't ask me how I know..

also, I wouldn't have pluged that crankcase breather tube.

ya i have all new seals and gaskets, as i got the whole gasket kit.

i pluged the whole in the t body where the breather tube connects, not the actual breather tube.

ill look at it again tomorow.

This brings up a question....where does a oil can hook up in the 325??
This is one way to stop the IM from getting oil in it.
