There are a few unused ports on the top of the thermostat housing. That is where I put my GM CLT for my megasquirt.

            Awesome, thanks.

You know you want windshield washer fluid temp too :)

Do you think I could put a flow meter in the hose, too? To see how well my fluid pump is working?

So where do you guys put oil temp, and also oil pressure ? just out of curiousity.

I was thinking a E30 M3 oil filter housing, which has the provision for the oil temp sender in the Cluster ? correct me if I'm wrong.

but oil pressure, I haven't thought about, figured just in one of the oil lines ?

You can put the water temp sensor in the thermostat housing. Pick one of the two extra plugs on the housing. The temp sensor will mount there.

You can get an oil temp sensor that replaces the drain plug in the oil pan.

For the oil pressure sensor, you can get a adapter block that goes where the stock idiot light sensor is on the passenger side of the engine below the oil filter. The block will have two threaded ports that allow you to attach the stock pressure sensor and add the aftermarket sensor as well.

I've been running my dedicated track car this way for several years now with out any complaints.

You can get all the parts from places like BMPDesign, Bavarian Auto, Turner Motorsport, Pelican, etc.

I wouldn't mount a flow meter in the hose. While it would measure the flow, it can also create cavitation in the coolant (thus introducing , increase the back pressure on the line, reduce the total flow because it becomes a restriction point and could contribute to hose or seal failure. In any case, it would tell you much because the water pump pressure and flow is constantly changing with change in RPM and temperature. Getting any kind of reliable baseline would be real difficult.

HAHAHA we are talking about the windshield washer fluid pump, not the water pump in the engine....read the thread LOL!

Thats a pressure relief valve. Something to do with oil pressure and what not lol.
