    2.7i build questions, please help.

I have searched and found some answers but no clear ones so...

    I have a 87 325 2.7.

1: What is neccesary to make it a 6250 rpm motor.
2: Can i swap an IS head? ( i heard that you could only do this on super E'S?
3: any other good options/swaps to increase rev range.
    97 tacoma 5 spd 4 cylinder
    2001 330ci 5 speed
    83 733i 5 speed, (FS)

Swapping an i head to a non super eta shortblock would produce a low compression ratio.
To rev higher you would need an I intake setup and a euro head(I don't know the casting number off the top of my head)and a a chip.
Ideally you could use super eta pistons with your current crank and an i head
    to get good results.

there have been a million threads on this, should be pretty easy to find.

putting an i head on there will yield too low c/r. you need custom pistons. like the 10.2:1 mahle pistons I have for sale in my thread in the classifieds.

Very true there is many thread. Second Hard to find the right answers. The best way to figure out if this or those pistons will work is simply by building the motor and checking clearances

Use your Eta block, 88 Super Eta pistons, Eta or Super Eta rods, and an i head, wiring, and ECU.

There you go, a 2.7i using OEM parts.

or spend 550 on pistons and get more p0w4h. my pistons, a cam, and an maf will get you along quite nicely

does your pistons have the rods with them or not, and what rods would you use and are they made to match a I head or e head?
