240? you can easily push 350rwhp on stock internals without harming anything. get a turbo from a cummins turbo diesel. you can buy a kit from ebay for $900 n then it comes with almost every thing u need. that will cut the cost in half.

Not with a "budget" tune you wont.

240whp is definetly doable, and on a budget, I'd suggest starting with a 524td manifold with a decent turbo. Injectors are a must. If you'd like to put something together, give me a call at the office and we'll talk. 786-264-1684. I'm here from 1-7pm est.

            Thanks,
            Erick

Hell, get a Ebay turbo manifold for the m20, 250$ stainless steel, t3 flange, just weld a brace onto it. My setup at the moment is
              Ebay m20 stainless manifold
              Perkins .48ar t3
              Volvo front mount ic
Greddy E-Manage Piggy back fuel controller

Then misc odds and ends. Got it all done for under $1000 and should put down some good numbers.

He wants a reliable car, which is why I would steer away from that internally wastegated with chinese weld 304SS manifold.

He also needs injectors, an FPR, and many other "odds and ends" that add up FAST in order to make it reliable. Reliable doesnt mean it's running fine.... reliable also means longevity.

I've got a good friend with a miata that uses a e-bay kit, and the turbo is a piece of crap, but the charge pipes and IC are decent, they get the job done and hold up to track and drifting duties.
