    Bizzare M20 issue

    Car - 89 325i 5speed 180k

    Will run GREAT when the motor is cold. Once the motor warms up, it STILL runs great, but will once in a while die, when coming back to idle. At THAT point, it won't start for 2 minutes to a half hour.

    What gives?
    We cleaned the ICV, swapped the DME, swapped the crank pos sensor, swapped the Motronic temp sensor, and swapped the air flow meter.

    (We also swapped the coil).

    Once it starts again, the car runs great! and will run for another 5 minutes then die.

        The problem is motronic.. I hate that system. You can't see whats going on at all. Standalone FTMFW!
