Does a 325I head fit on a 325E block. My 325E's head locked up and snapped a couple valves and the head is toast. I have a 325I head that I have done some head work to and Im wondering if it will fit on the 325E block, and also how much I can bore the 325E block since it now has scuffs on the cylinder before I hit a water jacket.

It will bolt on to the block. The compression will be a bit low, but it will run. The 2.7i "stroker" is actually a pretty common modification, but it requires a few more things, and it will get you approximately the same horsepower as an "i" engine.

There are a few oil passages you have to drill to make it work I believe. It's not a direct swap, but doable.

As far as boring over, I would think 0.030 would be max, but don't quote me on this.
