    Oil pump shaft bearing

    I am ripping apart my motor for a rebuild . and i can not find new bearings for the oil pump shaft in the block does anyone know where i can get them? or am i going to have to take them out and re-use them?

    they're not replaceable. you have to leave them in there - when you have your block tanked, leave the entire intermediate shaft assembly inside the block, and let them know about the bearing. it shouldn't be in there for too long, or the bearing will be destroyed - the shaft will protect the bearing from the chemicals in the tank.

      thanks for the input, i also found that their is a differnet solution to hot tank an aluminum motor in , i wonder if the motor can be cleaned in that solution without damaging the bearing
