    Diagnostic connector quick question

    On the 89 325i, with the 20 pin data/diagnostic connector, what are the two cables plugged to the bottom of it?

      The two three pin connectors? Crank position sensor and Cyl ID sensor.

          VR sensor(on front of the engine), and Pulse sensor(on #6 plug wire)
          85 325e 2.7 ITB'd stroker

            so the Pulse sensor is the one with the metal clip(lower one on pic)?

              They both have metal clips.....sigh......



              Its not that hard to follow it over to the vr sensor, or the cyl sensor

                That and after they have been "played with", they can be switched. Follow the wires from the side of the connector under the plug (the side not visible in your picture) to either the CKP or ID sensor.
