well last night i was going to adjust my valves for the first time (had someone else do em last time), but it got too dark and my shop light was being borrowed so i was SOL. so i replaced the valve cover gasket anyways and havent driven the car at all since last night. well i loosened a plug, but thought i retighetend it. now the car idles weird. retightened that plug up some and it seemed better as far as idling goes. but my engine seems to tick even louder now...
one of my fan blades hit my radiator some time ago and knocked a blade off so i trimmed all of them. i just got a new fan (on its way) but now it sounds like my water pump is off balance. basically my engine bays sounding like a 20 year old sewing machine...is it okay to drive it for short trips or what? its been fine before i took the VC off but now i dont even wanna start it.
what all do i need to change the water pump/timing belt? are the spark plugs gapped at all as far as installation? and when getting the valves at TDC are the coils fully compressed or what? im no noob at working on these cars ive just never done valve adjustments before.
