    Battery draw

    1988 325iX:
Battery has low charge after sitting overnight. Voltage drops to less than 12.
    Brand new battery.
    Alternator charges at ~14 volts.
With negative terminal disconnected, test light shows draw even as each fuse is disconnected and with alternator wiring disconnected.

    Where is the draw?

are you sure the battery doesn't simply have a bad cell?

pull ALL fuses, one by one and DONT replace until you have the light go out...

best tool to use is a meter, not a light.

+1, remember to hold the trunk switch in when you are checking this stuff, as the trunk is obviously open.

              solved

              thank you.

it was a loose connection to the aftermarket radio.
