    need help diagnosing problem.

i was having some fun sliding in some turns last night, and when i went to clutch kick i think i revved the motor to high.

cause now it clicks somewhere in the intake manifold it sounds like and when the clutch engages the motor seems shaky.

so far i think its either an exhaust leak somewhere or a blew a valve spring.

    help!

i need to disassemble this asap so i can have it in running condition.

if i did blow a valve my friend offered to port the head.

btw the engine is a 2.7 m20, built by jesse30.

Check your motor mounts, just to eliminate the possibility. Also, if you think you blew a valve pull the vavle cover and check the springs, etc.

This is kinda out there but possible that could be clutch/flywheel related?

Just some ideas. Oh and good luck in your hunt.

P.S. I had a '97 Dodge Neon w/ auto to manual conv. and I had the flywheel bolt back out of the crank on me. I luckily wasn't on a public road, but it happened in a store parking lot. I was barely able to hump it into a parking spot.

      i blew a valve!

thank you for the heads up.

i do not really know much about this engine at all. my friend and i are gonna pull the cylinder head and possibly port/polish it while we are at it.

i know more of 93 mr2s and b16s and stuff like that...

pull the valve cover and check for broken rocker arms, they don't tolerate being over
        r3ved too well.
