    284/272 cam + seta block?

Does anyone have this combination? I have tried the search engine and found nothing relating to this setup.

My question is will there be valve interference with the pistons, also how close will it be if there isn't? Some guys are running a 272 cam and it is O.K., but because of the longer duration on the intake and added lift (0.6mm intake and 0.1mm exhaust than the 272) will there be any clearance problems? TIA!

you will need to check clearance for sure - minimum is 1.5mm. and you will need all 7 cam journal oil holes drilled, along with dual valve springs. my bet is you will have to cut the valve pockets a bit, both james and I had piston/valve clearance issues with stock motors and this cam - but it's very close.

How much should I estimate in mm, for thermal expansion when I do a dry fit?

you don't - just make sure there is 1.5mm of clearance at TDC.

I have a schrick cam and i beilve its the 284 from a friends race car, with a 88 super eta bottom end. No problems here. My head already had the oil holes drilled and is a 2.5 head stamp, is that normal?
