The main ground for the motor

Where the f*ck does it go?

I'm talking about the zero gauge black wire that runs with the harness and ends right by the starter on a washer/lollipop end to be tightened down to it's place with a bolt.

We've been searching for a solid hour to where it goes and either we're missing its location or I dunno.

I replaced intake manifolds a few times and I cannot imagine it going to one of the intake manifold studs.

We found a threaded hole on the driver's side of the block which the fitting comes short by about half an inch, but the bolt that goes on the hole is too big to slide through the lollipop on the end of the ground wire. So that idea went out the window.

We thought about the starter bolts, but not only I can't remember it being there in the first place, the starter bolts are also wider than the lollipop fitting.

So yeah, anyone dealt with that? I honestly cannot remember where I took it off from when I pulled my old motor out.

    Thanks in advance,
    Erick

It goes on top of the oil pan where the sender is mounted.

          April Fools! Ha!

Not really... my genious charather got everything mixed up. The wire in question is definetly a +, coming from the positive block on the firewall. It goes with the starter. Since the cable was black we all assumed it was some sort of ground.

Working on the car for 9 days straight is really wearing my patience down..... we're all getting sloppy and making mistakes. It must fire up tomorrow. The car needs to be running, ready to rock, at the track, Friday morning.... 250 miles away.

I can count on my hands what's left to get the car to fire up. Crossing my fingers that it fires up without much troubleshooting. We're triple checking everything as we go.

*sigh* 2am... I'm going to pass out. Gotta be back at the shop at 9am to keep putting it together.
