just run the stock 173ecu untill you are ready to buy a custom chip or tunable ecu.

What i did is parked my 86es next to an 89i and just swapped everything over and it fired right up

take everything off and out of your engine bay that is eta except for the long block. it should look like this.

Then take all of this from an 88-92 i car and bolt it on and she will fire right up:

complete 1.3 motronic harness, ecu #173, stock i chip, oxygen sensor, oil sensor's, temperature sensor's, crankshaft position sensor and bracket, relay's, AFM (air fuel module), fuel rail, dont forget the i spark plug wire with the sensor.

i intake, air intake hose, injectors, throttle body, (hoses that are connected)

i thermostat housing(for having only 2 electrical connections)
i harmonic balancer(for crankshaft position sensor)

          And optional but prefered:

i timing chain covers(to work with crankshaft position sensor wire)
          i valve cover (hose connected)
i duel exhaust, i single fuel pump fuel tank, fuel pump, i metal fuel lines(for different in length)
          i 7000 tach
          i 90amp alternator

it is really not that much.

          here is my old link
