yesterday the mid cat was just giving unpleasant noise so i decided to check, the mid cat needs to be replaced but the problem at that time i can't afford a new one so i improvised and took the cat out and welded two straight pipes instead of the cat.
is that gonna affect my m20.
please comments....

bty the sound is much better now and the performance is the same or a lil bit improved.

If you have an automatic you might loose some lowend power but all your going to do other wise is gain performance.

you should have used the flanges, and has a pipe put in place, then when inspection rolls around, you can pop in a clean ass cat to do the trick...

but otherwise, you didnt hurt anything... now a 5 spd swap ;-)

thanks guys i'm in Yemen (middle east) no inspection but i really liked it, i'm gonna keep it, about the 5spd swap i can't do it in my country not too many bmws around here but i really want to swap my car i really want a s52 it'll cost me at least 1000$ to ship an s52 u r blessed to be able to swap s52

I have my cat removed and resonators installed...it sounds awesome. Don't really notice a power increase/decrease.
