    Motor mounts

Ok, so I'm trying to get off the lower drivers side and this thing just keeps on spinning but isn't going anywhere. It's not spinning with the bolt eaither. I've turned this at least over a hundred times and it hasn't seemed to make any progress.

I jacked up the engine a tiny bit to see if taking the load off would help. After a bunch more turns nothing. The washer is still tight up against the bracket. Its not getting any easier to turn, same mild resistance... whats up with this?

Are you saying that the nut is turning but the threaded stud isn't? If that's the case I'd say that the threads are stripped. It the stud is turning with the not, the internals of the mount have failed. The driver's side is the easiest to get to and in either case I'd take a nut cracker to it.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

I should have used the more correct name of "nut splitter". One example would be
