    Coolant temperature gauge not working

Anyone know what the hell is going on here? Or have a picture of what its supposed to look like?
Quoted from original thread which was in the wrong section, I figured out that when I touched the single black wire to the coolant sensor that the oil light came on

I took out the gauge cluster and tightened the grounding nut on the coolant temperature gauge itself. So now instead of doing nothing at all, the gauge pops "on" and the needle moves to just below the blue mark, as if its on but has no reading. The single wire temperature sending unit was replaced, and I put a new connector on it as the old one was corroded, but I'm still not getting any signal to the gauge.

I ordered a Bentley in hopes that has a clearer wiring diagram than what I've found online, but does anyone know if there is another connector that is between the sender and the gauge that I might need to replace?
