    The only benefit you'll see on an E30 from a CAI is an increase in sound. The stock airbox is as good as it gets.
    The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

      If PROPERLY heatshielded you can avoid LOSING power and if you've also added a chip and exhaust you will experience a tiny improvement in throttle response. This is a lot of expenditure for not much gain though so for all intents and purposes you're best off just replacing your stock filter regularly.
