like I told you before Stephen, I have like 3 friends that all DD their cars and thy all have welded diffs. If you do it right then nothing bad should happen. Good clean welds with no slag or spatter with good penetration. There is a science to it. There are plenty of Pro-Am drifters that weld their diffs to increase their ability to break traction and none of them ever have problems.
Its all up to you though. I dont see it being a huge deal especially with a really low cost diff.

Nah, fukkit, get an LSD.
2.93 for highway driving, then swap to a 3.7LSD for spirited or track
Eventually yeah, ill probably get an LSD, seems the best of both worlds... but i wasnt even expecting to get a new diff at all till i found a really good deal on one

Also when they break you get shit that goes in the bearings. Drifting is a whole lot different than a street car, the wheels both are spinng in a drift car with no traction so there's not that big of an issue. When your on the street it's way differnt the wheels turn at oposite speeds around corners sure they might last a month or two then clang.
Anything else i need for the swap?
Any speed bumps in the install i should be weary of?
Mill the head?
discuss.
