Brake Booster Vacuum Hose differences?

Since the PO decided to hack mines up, I need to find a replacement hose from the TB to the Brake Booster. He pretty much had the one hose connect to the booster and the blocked the other hose with a bolt .

Now I have a 1990 325i and figured out that the some intake boots (rubber elbow) has a hose connecting to it from the TB as well, but mines just has 2 hoses straight to the booster.

My question is which year did they make the change and where can i source one out?

Go to realoem.com, plug in the last 7 of your VIN and see what parts you should have. Your dealer can fix you up with those parts.

I have the vacuum lines the DUAL ones that go into the sides of the throttle body, that merge into the check valve, that split into the booster and the bellows.
Realoem sucks for that part (while it is a good site), a lot of parts look the same on their site while they are lots of differences (manifolds for example).
I have the corresponding intake boot (like new) and ICV for the simpler setup if needed (L shape 509 BOSCH).
the 91 and on from what ive personally worked on use a single vacuum line that goes straight to the booster with a check valve in-line, and the T shaped ICV.

I'm in the same boat. I bought a new airboot with no "little neck" for the vaccuum line. Is there a vaccuum line that does not branch off to the air boot? Is one airboot exclusive to automatics?

hmm, i dont think its a transmission thing, would the Eta and I have differnet setups?

If possible, show the year and model number, hopefully we can find a conclusion about this.

I also check out realoem. Apparently Eta dont have vacuum ports (i cant find the section) and all the IS' from 84 to 91 have the elbows with the small vacuum neck.
So realoem doesnt help at the moment..

it's not auto or manual, and appears to change randomly through different build dates. My auto is a 10/91 with dual lines, a T shaped ICV and the nipple on the intake boot. My 7/87 manual had the same setup. I've seen other cars with both.

well i checked out autohausaz and they only have the intake boot. I found out that the intake boot varies with the transmission and year:

The one with the booster fitting -> For models with automatic transmission and production date from 1/1989.

The one without the fitting -> For manual transmission models with production dates from 1/1989. 1 per car.

But i cannot find the line between the booster and throttle body with the regulator

I also checked out pelican parts, and it says that there is a difference between the elbows based on the transmission, therefore, any 89-91 325i manual transmission vacuum hose should work?

Can anyone else with a late model manual car verify this?

Thanks for backing me up on the trans specific airboot. My car was originally an auto, until I converted mine to 5 speed. Now I am running the auto airboot, which is cracked all to hell. Bought a new boot from my parts counter, for the 5 speed, now I am in the market for the appropriate 5speed vaccuum line plumbing.

like I said, my parts car (which is actually a late model, just an 87 build date) had the same style booster lines and intake boot as my automatic did. I would just get the one that fits your car, it doesn't matter if it's a manual swap with the auto booster parts..

Well my car is already manual, but automatic parts fit?

is there anywhere i can the proper parts w/o going to the dealer?
Or maybe ill just bite the bullet and buy it.

OK, I saw a manual, with an airboot that does not have the connection for the booster. The throttle body has the two holes on the side, one had the booster hose go to it, the other had nothing. I did not have something to probe the hole with, but I assume that the other hole was capped off in the throttle body. Can anybody verify that the throttle body comes with a cap for the other hole?
