    Replace your injectors

I just installed some 17.5lb s50 injectors today as well as a MarkD chip(previously ran a Turner chip) to run them. The engine feels alot stronger throughout the range and even sounds a bit meaner, no lie. I had the 17.5lb injectors professionally cleaned, rebuilt and flow tested as well. I'm sure by now your 20 year old injectors are feeling old and decrepit. My injectors have less than 60k orginal miles on them but they were nasty as you can see below. So if you can, go ahead and swap out your injectors for some 17.5s.

its an even better idea to replace them with a good stock set as these were the ones the engine was designed to use.

that is if you are stock. He is running the markD chip to compensate for the bigger injectors.

        OP:
Nice work! I had 19lbers in my old e30 and it ran extremely smooth.

MarkD offers chip for stock and 19lb not 17.5lb iirc

the 19's and the 17.5 are test rated at a higher fuel pressure 3.5 instead of 3.0 so the 17.5 flow pretty close to the same as the stock one. However Bosch totally changed from an EVO 1 to an EVO6 design with the m50 injectors. They break up the fuel much better and their on/off switching is much tighter

I have the 17.5 on my car stock no chip and I love em

You recall incorrectly. "93 octane, 7000 rpm, 17 or 19# injectors" per Marks website.
