    its gotta be something simple.

So the problem NO fuel NO spark on 89 325Is

what I have replaced or swaped out to remedy.

    173 computer
    crank position sensor
    Main (white relay)
    engine wiring harness
fuel rail & injector connector solderd to repair but connector situation.

and still no fuel no spark...

whats next, IM getting some kind of ohms reading on 47 48 (w/e) pins are for the crank position sensor. the DME is getting power, its got its good ground cable out on the strut tower. who knows

    what am I missing.:weak::idea:

IM getting my power on the coil.
but No priming of the fuel pump and Ive jumped the main relay so thats ruled out.

the pump is good I force fed it 12v and it works..

        now what.

what about the pick up on the crank pulley.

its magnetic? or a mark of some sort, anyone got a picture of whats its suppose to look like or is it all magnetic and just the gap in the teeth *the bigger one* is the marker for tdc and fuel flow ect?

you take the wire off the nut circled in green that is traveling in the direction of the green arrow to the fuse box. And you attach it to the terminal circled in red. even if its just temporary like with vice grips or something just to see if that fixes the problem. Hopefully it does cause i had to dig through 2 feet of snow to get my hood open.
also it doesnt seem like a cps because that doesnt control your fuel pump. just ignition and fuel

try this. its a long shot but it worked for me

Fusible link on the small power wire in trunk blew. Worth a look.

ya thats what doing what i pictured checks for. it was nutty when my fuseable link went bad the test light would still light up but it just didnt have enough power to run everything at once.

have you checked the readings (ohms) on the ignition coil? Maybe try taking the Neg terminal off the battery for a while and let the dme reset and put back on after about 30mins and see if anything changes at all. Also check the fusible link in the trunk like Kenika said, Pos cable runs along the right side of the trunk. Pull back the trunk material on the right all the way back and remove your trunk mat and what lies behind that is a plastic piece shielding the positive cable. Next take a look on the cable is another black wrap.. using a box knife or a blade of some sort get the wrap off and inspect the "link" if everything from my knowledge is good the metal link will still be intact like it should. If broken replace with a temp piece of wire and see if she fires up! G'luck

Do you have a check engine light when the key is turned to the run position? And the fuel pump should turn on for a few seconds when the key is turned to run, even without a crank. Fuel should be your high priority at this point. Maybe even try bypassing your fuel pump relay too and try cranking.

You have power at the coil but not at the plugs? Check cap/rotor.
