    No Start

I've really been trying everything to get my 85 325e running.

So far I have replaced all the things forums tell you to replace, TPS, coolant temp sensor, crank position sensor, AFM, FPR, ICV, main fuel pump, filter and lines and a new battery.

Found out my starter was shot so had it replaced. It failed again 2 months later and they said my alternator was bad too but it was an intermittent failure they didn't spot before. Couldn't get them to help me out on it, so I just did them both myself.

I hooked everything up this morning. I had ordered 6 month warranty parts from bavarian auto recyclers (looked a hell of a lot better than that junkyard starter they had put in for me ) so feel pretty confident that the parts are good.

Well, now I still can't get it to start.

The starter makes a click sound and then immediately starts making a whining noise.

I would suspect the starter itself, but now I can't even push start it. When I push the car and then pop the clutch out with it in 1st gear it locks the rear wheels instead of turning over the motor.

    I fear the worst.

Last I drove the car it started under its own power and I drove it 100ft into my garage about 5 days ago.

Any help would be hugely appreciated.

Check your grounds. Check your fusible link in the trunk. Make sure your battery is good and charged. And also, just for the hell of it jump pins 30 & 87 on your main relay and see if that kicks the pump on. Last, but not least check and make sure the starter is wired correctly. Oh, and swap your relays out with known working ones. You never know.

I have cleaned all the grounds earlier while installing the other items. Battery is charged. I'm certain the main fuel pump comes on as I just installed a new one and tested it afterwards. Also new O2 sensor, I forgot to mention. Just passed emissions a month ago with great numbers.

My fear is that the engine is seized but I haven't overheated it or let it run with no oil. With only 125k on the clock this thing should be good for more than that, it was running well before. Like I said, it won't turn the motor over even trying to push start it, the wheels just lock up.

Could the starter be jammed with the flywheel? Since it is retracted, it should be totally out of the way, right?
