Just finished 325E to 325I swap but need one last part

I just finished a 325E to 325I swap on a 1987 and I ran into a problem with the 02 sensor. The "E" used a 3 pin and the "I" uses a 4 pin. I'm looking for the short cable the goes from the mail wiring harness to the 02 sensor. it connects to the harness at the passenger side strut tower. it uses a 4 pin plug connecter ( pre 9/87) as opposed to the more common screw on type of connector. here are a couple of pics of the connection on the wiring harness. both the E and the I harness and engine are from a 1987. If you have one or know where I can find one please let me know.
    THANKS!

i ran into this problem and i bought mine from rock auto a few years back. i bought a denso sensor, fits and works great also comes with a copper lubricant for the threads. just look up 1987 325is on rock auto in the exhaust and emissions category

thanks for the suggestion. they had one with a 25.5" harness which might be long enough. i ordered one to give it a try.

General Discussion is not a catch-all; please do not ask technical questions there. If you don't know where to ask your question, post it in General Technical and we'll move it to the appropriate subforum if necessary. Thanks in advance.

If you changed motronics the proper O2 connector should be part of the harness.

if you are using the 325i exhaust headers the sensor should be in the bay, unlike the 325e exhaust has the o2 bung a little more back by the cat which needs a wire extension. thats what i remember from when i did my car. the o2 sensor i mentioned is pretty long.
