what kind of sealants to use

New head is on it's way in the mail. I've searched all over and can't find the answer to this. I need to know what kind of gasket sealant to use on the following:

the side of the block where the heater core hose goes

the thermostat housing gasket (I'm guessing water pump stuff sealant?)

    valve cover (if anything)

head gasket (I don't think I need anything but I want to make sure)

    intake manifold gaskets

    throttle body gasket

the cork gasket on the side of throttle body where the breather hose goes

I kept my triangles on the exhaust because its still connected, but how about the manifold ones to the head? Do I even need something for those?

The only place you need a sealant on an m20 is at the corners of the pan gasket Dirko is the preferred stuff (or RTV Gray if you cant find Dirko). Otherwise just make sure the mating surfaces are "pristine clean"

Also I use straight Dirko instead of that shit cork gasket for the throttle heater.

Well thats good to know. I wont use sealant on anything :)

I'm guessing you're talking about the oil pan. If so then I've already done that. I did the pan gasket last year (huge pita)

I'll do what you did if the gasket on the throttle body gets ruined again like the last one did. You are right. it's shit.

should use non hardening aviation cement (#3 i think it is) for the waterpump gasket. Pretty much says as much in the repair manual.
Just a little project im working on
