M20 325i head bolt torque procedure question

    Hi all,

I'm about to reinstall my head and I'm seeing conflicting answers on what head bolt torque should be for the 14 M10 torx head bolts.

BMW's torque manual (http://www.e38.org/bmw_torq.pdf) says it should be 30nm, then 90deg + 90deg with no settling time and no warm running time

E30 zone (https://www.e30zone.net/e30wiki/inde...orque_Settings) says 30nm, wait 15mins & tighten additional 90deg then another 90deg with engine at normal working temperature

Anyone know which is right? Is it mandatory that I do the second 90degrees with the engine warmed up, or should I follow BMW's directions?

    Thanks,
    Mike
