    Output shaft / guibo issues

I recently swapped an M20 from an 89 325is into my 88 325 seta and the output shaft does not line up with the bigger guibo on the driveshaft. What are my options here? Just to clarify, I have a 1989 325is Engine and transmission and a 1988 325 driveshaft.

swap out the giubo/driveshaft or swap out the output shaft.

This may be a stupid question, but I couldn’t just swap the guibo, right?

Define "does not line up". The bolt pattern is different? The end of the shafts do not line up?

As I recall, there are two size flex disks (diameter) but I thought the bolt patters were the same.

I think he's saying the ds is big guibo and the trans is small guibo.

          Need either:
          Small guibo driveshaft
Large guibo G26 output flange (or full trans)
Swap guibo/adapter from whoever makes them currently, but some options might increase driveline vibration so I'd save this option as a last resort.
