Valve Spring Orientation

I’m rebuilding my 885 head with genuine BMW springs. Both the inner and outer springs have a green and a yellow stripe painted towards one end of the coils.
Does the painted end face up or down?

Both sides looked identical to me.
I would put them with the stripes oriented the same way.

I think you’re right.
The springs are not conical, beehive or progressively wound, and I read some posts that suggest the markings are just for identification.
