    help with AFM

Seattle 325i cars I am suspecting issues with my AFM. Anyone care to swing by with their 325i and let me hook up your AFM and see if this is my issue? I'll make lunch and cocktails. Thanks for any help. sent from hell using Tapatalk

If your AFM is the original 30+ year old AFM, consider it bad.

I'm going to hit the sensor with MAF AFM cleaner and see what happens first... sent from hell using Tapatalk

I wouldn’t bother, all you are doing is cleaning the oil film from it. It’s the electronics which are worn and cleaning spray will do nothing to fix that. It’s like using a 30 year old oxygen sensor, the afm is actually more important and one of the most important sensors in the car, it should be replaced with a new or refurbished part.

I have a refurbished one on the way. cleaning the sensor helped quite a bit but. I do suspect the problem is on the inside. looking forward to taking it apart and trying to fix the problem. thanks sent from hell using Tapatalk
