Any advice on how to measure the dimensions of where the rings go? The top two lands(?) are narrower than the pin end of my digital caliper (~2.1MM), so not sure how to measure the depth.
I think I can stack feeler gauges to measure the height.

Do you think the rings would be same as used on a stock BMW piston?

Any recommendations on what rings to get?
Did you purchase the Autowelt pistons

The rings from the seller in Russia are $16 a set... I may get those. It appears that they claim to be same part number as BMW rings.

The pistons seem to have slight casting imperfections. I think they will be okay. Will probably need to be cleaned up.

I have ordered rings from Russia. It was ~$100 and will take about 3 weeks to get here.

Does it say where the pistons are made?

I don't see any country of origin on the pistons.
              The box says:
              Autowelt
              Autoteile
              Germany
