eliminating expansion tank

I went with an aluminum radiator that wouldn't need the stock expansion tank. Have any of yall eliminated the stock tank and if so how did you route the hoses?

I'm not sure if this would be appropriate....The only thing i'm aware of is my dirt bike doesn't have stock radiator expansion-tank.

Plug the hose to the expansion tank.

Run a hose from the overflow tube on the radiator to a bottle of some sort.

Car cooling systems need an expansion tank.
If you're good at fabrication, just make a tube with welded ends, a fluid "pickup", and a level sight.

Something like this:


Make sure that the fitting has a tube to pick up from the bottom, or put the fitting at the bottom, as these are for overflow and recovery.
