well, I broke a rocker. I think I'm just going to replace the head. Not sure what I'm going to do at this point though.

        Update:

Got a new head from ecartoys (Thanks!) and it runs! Little hic-up though. It will not idle no matter what do. No vacuum leaks that I can find. Running the m20 harness. Swapped icv, same result. I have to give it about 1/4 throttle for it to stay running at ~900-1000 RPMs.

        Any thoughts?

Find the AFM adjustment page someone posted here awhile back to make sure it is within range....

Are you running an o2 sensor?

I was told to look into the AFM adjustment as well. Thanks for the tip.

Yes I am running an o2 sensor. The m20 one if that matters.

                FIXED.

Swapped out the harness from the m20 to the m30 and it idles, revs, the works. With the swap, I changed to the auto TPS. It doesn't seem to run as smooth as it should, but Ill chalk it up to the o2 sensor not being hooked up.

I'm not saying the m20 harness will not work for the m30, but if you have access to an m30 harness (whether it be auto or manual) it is much easier to use.

for the most part. It will backfire when I let off at high rpm and it sounds like I have a rowdy cam at idle. I think I'll need to get a new o2 sensor and spark plugs

Good job! I like the m30 harness myself, it fits perfect and is made for this engine :)

Other then your old m20 harness being messed up
there isn't anything that would make it run differently.
The m20 harness hooks up to everything the m30 harness hooks up too.

^^ I know which is what puzzles me. I must have had some connections mixed up or the injector harness wired up wrong (I had to rewire the entire injector side of the harness).

I'm experiencing your original problem atm now, it has the same problem asif the temp sensor for the ecu is unplugged... Maybe it's faulty?

original problem? If you are talking about it cutting out, I never figured that one out. A valve and rocker broke before I could investigate further.

                                Well, it's kinda different...

It's fine from cold start, but once you turn it off then come back in say 20 mins it will idle rough and miss and carry on for a little while before it smooths out and becomes drivable again.. I actually have to sit there and rev till it smooths out which is really shit when your in a busy carpark, street etc...

I believe it has something to do with the temp sensor for the ecu.
