doughnut are you using a b34? b/c if you are i'd look at the cold start injector if its having problems running after being started from being up to temp. resulting in over all shittyness.

i've read that temp sensor is more of a problem on hard starts on cold motor...

      No, I have a b35.

Yeah, this ones a tricky one which I'll eventually figure out. Just need to get the time to work on the thing!

it's a good idea to stop working on a car and come back with a fresh mindset. I can't tell you how many times I've forgot to plug a connector in and had hours of troubleshooting. As usual, this happened to me yet again. All my problems were because it was running on 4 cylinders (rather smoothly I might add). The number 1 and 6 injector connections were loose in the harness and didn't seat correctly. Needless to say, I plugged them in and the car runs great now.

Of course if it's not one thing, it's another. Now that it's running, it won't charge. I am swapping out resistors? (the piece on the back of the alternator) as well as the belt. Hopefully this will solve that problem. AND it seems my brakes aren't functioning properly either. Takes some pushing for the brakes to operate, and it is slow on deceleration. I think the booster vacuum hose is suctioning closed because I just bought some cheap vac hose from vatozone. Does this sound like it could cause this I just bled the system.

I really want to get this thing on the road!

Is your blue wire connected from the engine harness (alt) to chassis? Does the light in the cluster for the battery/alt light up?

yes it is and it does. But I read that on the later models there is a resistor, where if the bulb goes out the current does not get interrupted and charging can continue.

Yes, when I read through ETMs some do have a resistor.

well we'll find out about the alternator thing tomorrow. I'll see if the dealer has the brake booster hose while I'm at it.

I am using the factory booster. I bought some generic vac hose for it, which I think Is collapsing. It's been sitting in my garage for about 6 months or so. The lines don't look rotted if that's what you were getting at.
