Take a look on the cap and make sure a wire isn't in the wrong place.

Can you describe this further? The bolt/nut that holds the bracket on the drivers side, under the intake manifold shouldn't cause a vacuum leak?

just relized this sounds alot like a tps issue. are you running an auto or manual TPS? Was the I harness Auto or manual???

one of the two studs that holds the bracket underneath was missing. that threaded hole goes right through. so i plugged it up with a bolt... didn't put that bracket back on. out of laziness......... coming to think of it maybe that bracket has alot to do with the shaking?

Uh, I would go put that bracket back on. Right now. 12 little metric nuts isn't really sufficient to hold that big intake manifold on imo.

If he is using Joe Funk's mount the bracket won't fit and you'll need to make something custom.

we made our own engine mounts. it does fit on.. i just forgot to put it on, and never got around to it. i want to know if bracket does anything for the vibrations, or is it just to brace the manifold

Dude, its 2 nuts and a bolt to put the support back on... If you have time to be bitching about it on the net then you have plenty of time to slap it back on...

BMW put it there to brace the intake, stop premature failure of the intake gaskets and prevent cracking... Pritty much explains itself.
