    89 m20 into 91 318is?

    Hello,
Just wondering because I found one thread that stated that putting a "90-92" m20 into a 318is uses the same plug/wiring.
My question is what is the difference? Wouldn't an 88-92 m20 in theory use the same late model wiring? Obviously using m20 motor mounts but confused on this wiring issue. Any input?

That's what I was thinking Jeff. Didn't want to plug it all in and have it go "pop"
      i'll look.

I used an M20 engine harness to run my M30, and yes it plugged straight in, and worked but with one concession that i havent figured out yet. Pin 20 on the C101 318iS side has an ABS wire, whereas pin 20 on the M20 C101 engine side has a ground/redundant wire.

I didnt really want to send my ABS to ground as im told there should be no gounds in the C101, so i cut it just to get my car running without that shorting out or whatever. I do not know if it makes any difference, i guess i could hook it back up and see if it still runs. My ABS no longer works. lol.
