      I'll have a complete swap minus the engine for sale in a few weeks. Coming out of a 318is so it would work perfect for you. If you aren't in too much of a hurry it would make your swap extremely simple.

          lol. I was going to put it up on here for $950 but since you're local AND in the military, how about $800? Would include:
          -89 e34 harness
          -Joe Funk's mounts
          -e28 transmission and linkage (minus the shift lever)
          -e34 M5 cluch and Flywheel (used but still plenty strong for an e30. I could drop 2nd all day)
          -front half of the driveshaft with a 318is CSB
          -transmission support
          -recently rebuilt injectors
          -corect radiator hoses

          and all the other little things you need to make it work.

              It's still in the car at the moment, so I don't have a problem holding it for a while. I want to collect everything for my new swap before I pull this one out, but I plan on having that going by April. So sometime in March most likely.

                    ha dont we all, idk it is going to be my daily, and it would be a good motor for my car since it is the 4door, and it is more period correct than a m/s5x you know, and if i get houngry for power i will just build a wicked turbo kit lol

                      It wasn't slow, don't get me wrong. I could spin first and second with 2 other people in the car. I could keep up with my friends e34 540i and beat multiple other quick cars. It's just that theres this pesky e30 m50 turbo driving around over here...

                      The thing that made me originally love the m30 so much was the period-correctness. It's like the big block of the 80's BMW world, and just suits the car so well. Mine was bone stock too, so I can only imagine how much better it would be with a chip or a MAF conversion.

                        Yup that is my plan as well eventuly. So I am going to set it up with the mls and the arp studs. That way I won't have to mess with it in the car. It will be ready for turbo and MS.

                          hmm...i am plaing a chip, cam, exhust...tell me more about this MAF conversion, if you dont have a motor yet i know someone who is selling a m52, it is a whole car for 1600 i could find out if he is still selling it for you

                              it actually sits higher than the m20 oil pan (thus, higher than the m42 pan)
