can i use my exiting m20 e30 radiator, its a behr? and why would i have to swap the radiator for the m30 because its to thick?

Time and energy to fit M20 radiator is way far too much, compare to M30 radiator which probably cost ~ $200 new. -
the m20 hose are totally differnt, smaller, upper and lower on opposite sides... there is alot of issues. Plus the m30 should use an m30 rad, cooling is one of the most important issues with this car that you can not cheap out on. you have no clutch fan.
have you started this swap? or are you gaining info? this is covered in many many threads. And if you don't know that its very different then you have alot of research to do, starting with opening your hood.Comment

i am just doing research. and i have read through several build threads and they all say e28 or e34 with modifications, never says why, i was just curious why. i just got this radiator a month ago so i was reluctant to buy another and just wanted to be absolutely sure. thanks tho.Comment
