Spark plug wires

I'm getting a good amount of misfires and sputtering on humid days. I remember reading that it's usually a sign of aged plug wires. Correct?

What are you guys running? What did ya pay? Where ya get 'em at?

Check the resistance.
I checked my OEs, and only 1 was within spec (on the edge), others where trash.

I'm using 4 year old bav wires from an m20. Still good.

to be honest, my buddy picked up a magnecore setup in 8.5mm and it was right around $100.00 He loves them, and the only thing needed to be done is to slide the impulse sensor wire from your old set to the magnecore set

When I replaced mine I went with a set of Bosch wires. Ran around $90 from Rockauto. The set I bought included the wire for the coil. Seemed reasonable to me.

I was on a EU tour and my BT started tyo do this.. i changed the ignition coil,,

NO....... the car was similair

i opened the cap and rotor and .. yes it looked in bad shape,, i ordered new from a BMW dealer and voila the car was like new ..

ps.. i would buy oem parts ,, not some cheap aftermarket,, i had serious trouble with that in the past

Ireland engineering sells a set of 8mm wires with the stock housing to make it look pretty. $140. These are the ones I was going to order.

Anyone ever try the Nology plug wires on an M30. They are pricey at $275, but if they made a difference I guess it could be justified.

they got nothing but good reviews. It´s not necesarily better than OEM, but doesn´t appear to be bad at all and it´s much cheaper, for a new set. If you can get your hands on a decent used set of original BMW wires, go for it.

Thanks man. Yea, someone else suggested them as well. Actually they said they swear by them. I'll have to think twice about it. Their web site looks like it was made in 1994 - and I just don't trust companies like that.
