One last wire for my m30 pic inside

This blue wire, I have no idea where it is supposed to go. I want to say it goes to the alternator but I'm not sure and don't want to burn stuff up. It comes out of the main harness where the loom for the relays come out.

That is more than likely the charging indicator. But I would trace it back to make sure.

Justin, are you aware of the wiring diagrams that are online? Tough to use, but they are the factory shit.

You can find them at www.wedophones.com

Yes I know the diagrams are there but I honestly don't know what year or car the harness is from. I'd usually check them first but I thought I would check here first. Tried to trace it back to the ecu conector and didn't find it...

yeah...not knowing what car would be a bitch. I would check any M30 car (e28, whatever) and see if it jives with anything

If it's the charging wire thing your car will run and start, but your alternator won't charge.

IIRC the other end goes to the charging lamp in the cluster.

If it is the charging indicator I should be able to trace it through the c101 correct. Which post on the alternator would it be connected to?

The wire was the charging indicator light
