Just wondering... would the late model e30 radiator work with the M60 swap? I know the e34 540 and e28 535 radiators are viable options, but I was just wondering if there would be any issues using the late model e30 unit.
"Check the guide rails for chain, if they look good they're not worth changing (are a bit pricey, you can get whole engine for the price of them). "
WUT?
Dunno what's the price level there but here you can get whole M60 engine (without ancillaries) for 400-500€ (500-600$). Though now when i looked at the guide rail pricing (around 200€ for all rails), i must say i remembered bit wrongly, though i guess that if you change the guide rails you should change the chains and tensioners, which add 300-400€ ending up in the complete engine price..
Ok, did the 92-95 and 96+99 have the same crank/rod/pistons/block or were there differences? I am not talking about the m60 vs m62, but just the m60 stuff.
M60 was made only until early '96, the block itself is the same in 3 and 4 litre versions but most of the internal stuff is different including bore. Don't know if the heads are similar, though.M62 has also "same block". Here're the basic facts of M60..

Yes there'd be, because the rad is too small. "Tropical version 325e / 324td" radiator could do the job but normal E30 rads are way too small. E28 535 rad is the minimum you need in there, and that's a straight "bolt on" so there's no reason not putting at least that one in..

see if it will be cheaper/easier to just switch to the tilton setup instead of relocating the booster/mc etc...
Yes.
The brakes were the biggest pain in my swap. It seems simple but it takes a long time to get it all working correctly. If I were to do it again I'd just go with a manual setup.
So, lets talk about AC... is there even any room for it?
Yes there is, but then you need to use original engine mounting arms and weld some mounting points for them on the body rails. Original E30 mounting points on front subframe are located too much back.
A bit of hammering of the body rail is also needed, as is the case with the alternator on the other side.
