Bump for an old thread. Good right up. The only issue I have is with you quarter mile times. My m30 car ran a best of 13.9 @ 99mph, that is quite a big difference, I think that yours should have been much faster than mine especially with a chip. My car was prolly lighter than yours, but I was running on a shitty old runway with no traction, and I was asleep at the light almost every run.

Mark D's chip are the best IMO, been around alot of m30's for along time..
JC Chip is nothing compared to that...
        S38 TB's on an M30...
        sure, here you go,
just need to find on of these and convert to E28 hydrolics...
from the car that never existed,
        the Hartge H5SP Sport

I actually saw that intake on ebay.de about 8 yrs ago.....

Sorry, for the huge pic, but wanted to show you as much detail as possible...
notice the routing for the Upper Radiator Hose??

Good luck finding that piece...there is talk about people fabbing a plate, but it never got past that as far as I know....

        Here's the actual car...

All this M30 talk and I am getting a chubby...

I have an S38B38 90mm crank, and an M30B34 motor add a B35 head and cam and this could get crazy...

I wish I could post my M30B38 power sheets done by a friend who is a BMW engineer,
with the above set up you can realize a true 300hp...with stupid tq...as in 300ft/lbs... 300squared if you will....
        all this with M30 reliability....

I also know a bloke that have a M88 engine with damage to the block, wich I'm considering getting the itb's to fit on my M30B35. Does the 24v head from the M88 fit in the M30 aswell?

The M88 head can basically bolt right to the M90 block (early M30 that was 3453cc's because of the 93.355mm bore and 84mm stroke instead of the later 3430cc M30 with a 92mm bore and 86mm stroke). BUT since the same M30 head castings will fit the M90 and the later M30, I would say that the M88 might bolt to any M30 block and work if you have the correct pistons.

I have never seen the M88 head on a later M30 but it has been done more than once on an M90 block.
