M30B35 No Start

Hi everyone,

i havent been driving my m30 swapped e30 in a while but i start it up every once in a while. lately it cranks but wont start.. first thing i noticed was fuel leaking from the fuel rail.. under the fuel pressure regulator and also below the fuel rail at the #1 injector... so makes me say the fuel rail is leaking looks like it corroded through.

Now my question is could it be that it wont start because of low fuel pressure since its leaking?

think it would have to be a pretty noticeable leak to effect fuel press. i dont think a few drops here and there would do anything.

Fix the leak. Report back.

Chances are if your fuel rail is "corroded" then you could have issues with dirty electrical connections around that area also.

Warm or cold?

When cold, my E34 would fire every time. When warm, it would occasionally crank but not fire. It was my coolant temp sensor on the thermostat housing. If I unplugged it, that was enough to get it fired.

Also possible that the corrosion has ended up in your injectors, causing them to plug
