    Euro spec 1989 E34 535i 5speed donor

    Hi,

    I was wondering if anybody ever done the M30 conversion to an E30 but using a Euro spec E34 as a donor.

    Im going to be parting out my winter beater 89 535 but then I realised its got Drive by wire.. :(

    E30 M3 / E30 325is / E34 525iT / E34 535i

      LOL! Maybe EML? Some US 735i cars had EML, it's just a fancy electronic TB, you just replace it with a regular TB and add one more line to the intake manifold or use non EML manifold. You'll also need NON EML engine harness.

      That's all you have to do for EML bs.

        seem like alot of work.. i dont think anyone has done that.. maybe u should look around... let me know how it goes...

          I bought this car as a winter beater and with possibly an option to part it out and use the motor,tranny, wiring, ecu... for my next E30 build (nothing like driving the engine/tranny your going to use to many horror stories of people buying engines already out and they are toast and also its sometimes cheaper too)

          OK so I would have to buy a regular TB non EML manifold and non EML harness...its going to cost as much as what i paid for the whole car...dang!! LOL... engine only has 153000KM all original too ah well..

          So bottom line for others reading this...don't buy an Euro 535i if you want to use it as a donor car!! Thanks for the info

          This info would of been cool to have if FRANK had it in his Ebook when I bought it from him!!
